About Us
As members of Hope of Haiti, we hope to serve our community through the distribution of our combined knowledge of the language, culture and history of Haiti. We hope to rid the community of the many stereotypes of Haiti by organizing events to produce higher levels of understanding and comprehension. We are supporting primary school, Ecole Frateneire Social de Fond-vin located in Pernier Haiti. Ecole Frateneire has five teachers that provide education to 135 students with limited resources. The 2012 earthquake has put a strain on the school. We are working with Principal Dorce and the school by providing resources and support so that in the future it can run efficiently and effectively for the students.

Second Grade Students
Ecole Fraternite Social de Fond-vin is a primary school located in Pernier, Haiti. Principal Dorce established the school in 1990 in order to take the children in the community off the streets and into the classroom. Most of the families cannot afford the cost of the school due to the poor economy and minimal support received from the government. This school serves as a beacon of hope in the community because principal Dorce does not turn a child away due to lack of pay. There are currently 135 students and five teachers. The 2012 earthquake has left the school without bathrooms, kitchenette, and damaged the school building. The students now have school in the church thanks to the generosity of Prinicpal Dorce's father. Hope of Haiti is working with the principal to bring more aid and sustainable source of revenue into the school so that it is able to be independent.
